The lotus flower often represents the seven main energy centers within our bodies. Each lotus chakra occupies in its own space and unfolds to radiate a color of the rainbow.

The fifth chakra, the blue lotus, resides in the throat area and dictates our creative energy. The throat center forms a connection between mind and body. This connection allows for artistic communication via our physical bodies.

Blue Lotus Tribe is a Tribal Fusion Belly Dance troupe dedicated to the evolution of this exciting and fresh dance form and to bringing original and creative performances to the public. Our tribe begins with the elements of Middle-Eastern belly dance, both modern and folkloric, and combines them with movements from the dances of Spain, India, and the nomadic Gypsy people of Asia and Europe. This fusion of world dance styles produces an unforgettable show that is both unique and fun for the audience.

Blue Lotus Tribe performs an energetic combination of innovative choreographies and improvised group and solo dances. Our shows include a variety of displays of grace and power, including dancing with swords and finger cymbals. From our slow and entrancing floor dances to our most dynamic drum solos, the Blue Lotus Tribe assures the audience an enjoyable show they will not soon forget. Each director of Blue Lotus Tribe is also a qualified belly dance teacher. Together, we offer classes in belly dance fundamentals and technique, American Tribal bellydance, and Egyptian bellydance.
